‘The mice are the best cheese experts.’

Idea

'Slice and Mice' is a knife collection explicitly made in mind for cheese. The uniqueness and beauty of these knives lie in their design. Made with polished stainless steel, the knife's handle will replicate the designs and patterns of miniature mice. This project's main challenge was having a balance between elegance and functionality.

The central vision for this design was to create a set of knives that were not only useful as a utensil but were also something that warms and entertains the eye with its presence. It would be an amazing change of pace for an inanimate object such as a knife or a collection of knives to become a part of the interior.

Function

Even with the elegant look, the functionality of the knives stays the same. The handles in the shape of mice will fit perfectly in hand, smooth and pleasant to the touch. The knife's shape was designed as the bottom part of the mouse, wide and comfortable to hold so that the palm had space to rest on the handle.

When putting pressure on the knife, the ears also work as an extra spot. The handle made of stainless steel also adds a bit of weight to the knife, making it feel even better when handled. Also, a significant feature is that all mouse parts were designed for easy cleaning after use.

‘Blades in a shape of cheese’

Details

Looking at the blade, we can see the shape inspired by a slice of cheese, with indented circles further adding to this design choice. All these details further emphasise the visual inspiration of the concept without detracting from any of its functionality.

‘Cute mice on the table - 4 reasons to have a chat at the table.’

Thinking about authenticity reminded us how touching a trume dinner feels. It is about the warm and pleasant atmosphere; it's about the beautiful food; it's about the smiles, the jokes, and the discussion. These small and humorous table accessories add a bit to the overall mood of the table.

Small cheese knives, made in the shape of a mouse, will most certainly pique your friends' interest, as they will be one of the first things your friends see. They will bring smiles to their faces and bring about a warm and welcoming discussion. In addition, mice are one of the best experts in cheese, and they would definitely know a thing or two about good and authentic cheese.
